Message from the Presidents
Happy September Parents!
Welcome back to school! We hope everyone had an enjoyable summer, and is ready for a school year full of fun and learning!! A few changes to staffing at Oak Hill this year: Ms. Marnie Jones and Mrs. Jean Nagle are no longer with our staff - they will be missed by teachers, parents, and students.
Two new additions this school year - Meaghan Larsen, special educator who will be starting shortly and Danijela Hackmann, temporary support assistant. Welcome Meaghan and Danijela!!!
This year we are looking forward to lots of fun events, including our Movie Night in September and Halloween Themed School Dance in October. If you'd like to volunteer, please do so through Membership Toolkit or emailing thx4volunteering@gmail.com.
Our Oak Hill PTO website, hosted by Membership Toolkit, serves as the main platform for communicating with Oak Hill families, organizing volunteer activities, and managing events. With Membership Toolkit, we can register volunteers, assign them to events, and communicate via email. We STRONGLY encourage EVERYONE to register on our website, regardless of whether you plan to volunteer, to stay fully informed. This is the only way for room parents to locate contact information for your child's classmates. You don’t need to be a PTO member to join through Membership Toolkit, though we hope you will consider joining. The site will keep you updated on what’s happening at our school. To stay informed, make sure to update your contact information, email address, and your child’s class details at www.OakHillESPTO.org (http://www.OakHillESPTO.org) by clicking on “My Account.” Please be assured that this information will only be used for PTO-related purposes.
Lynn LaRocca and Anna Builta, PTO Co-Presidents

Volunteer Opportunities Are Available!
We know that parents love to volunteer to support their children and their school. We also know that sometimes, volunteering looks different from helping in the classroom. We'd love your feedback on how best you would/could volunteer this upcoming year.
Everyone should have received a separate email with volunteer survey regarding your volunteering ability. If you have not done so, please complete it so the Board can start planning events for the year.
If you have not received the email with the survey, please contact Jess Goldberg at thx4volunteering@gmail.com.

Committee Chairs Needed
Parent involvement in Oak Hill is what makes everything run smoothly for the students, teachers, and staff, and we are in need of a some parents who will take the lead on some committees to continue helping Oak Hill.
Please consider becoming a chair of one of the following committees:
Artsonia - Works with the art department in photographing and uploading students' art to the website for parents to purchase items. Oak Hill receives funds from this committee.
Silent & Live Auction - This event has been a staple for Oak Hill for the last several years, and is a source of funds for the PTO to assist in providing support for the students, teachers, and staff. Two co-chairs are needed to set up this event.
Skate Zone - Students love have the place to themselves at Skate Zone, and its a fundraiser for Oak Hill.
5th Grade Promotion - In order to make the promotion be a wonderful event for the 5th graders and their parents, 4th grade parents are needed to organize this event.
Cultural Arts/Assemblies - Students (and staff) love the assemblies throughout the year - it is a nice break from learning (and teaching).
All of these committees have past committee chairs who are available to provide assistance in planning and implementing these activities, as well as information for the committee to allow for less work when scheduling.
Any additional information regarding these committees can be obtained from the PTO Presidents, Lynn and Anna at oakhillptopresident@gmail.com or the 2nd Vice-President Volunteers, Jess, at thx4volunteering@gmail.com

Talent Show (Variety Show)
We are currently looking for a Co-Chair for the annual Stars of Oak Hill Variety Show held in February. This is a huge event every year, over 100 students participate in creative acts, our school dance team shows off their skills, even our staff performs, and together they put on one fantastic show! Not only does it sell out each year, but it also raises quite a bit of money for our school. We currently have 1 volunteer parent who has co-chaired for the last 3 years but will require another volunteer to co-chair. If we do not fill this position by December 1, the show will be cancelled.
