The PTO would like to express a sincere and heartfelt Thank You to our amazing OHES families, our students’ extended families and friends, neighbors and community businesses for your overwhelming support of our Race for Education. The success of this event allows us to keep our fundraising efforts to only two events each school year – The Live and Silent Auction and the Race for Education. The money raised this year will go towards the purchase of technology needs, assemblies, playground equipment, grade level novel sets and other essential educational needs that will impact each and every student at OHES.

Here are some fun highlights of our event:

• We Raised nearly $40,000.00!!! THANK YOU FOR YOUR SUPPORT!

• Students and Staff ran 8775 laps which is the equivalent of 878 miles!!

• The students will have a super silly surprise from Mrs. Houghton & Dr. Cheesman.

• The top 3 fundraising classes who earned a special treat are: 2^nd grade Ms. Oberlin’s class with $2645, 1^st grade Ms. Seay’s class $2475 and 2^nd grade Ms. Anderson’s class with $1820.

• Ms. Parker’s 2^nd grade class ran the most laps in the school, 399, equal to 40 miles!

• We gave away over 200 prizes and gift cards to OHES students!
