Teacher Appreciation Week

Teacher Appreciation Week is next week, May 4–8! 

Take a moment to review the daily activities planned for your child’s classroom and help us make this week extra special for our amazing Oak Hill teachers. 

A special thank you to our Room Parents for all their hard work in planning such thoughtful celebrations! 

Volunteers Needed Race Day, May 15th!

WE ARE IN NEED OF PARENT VOLUNTEERS ON RACE DAY!!
The race is scheduled for May 15th and We need lots of parents to help count laps! We also need volunteers to hand out Popsicles after each class completes their race!!! Below are the scheduled Race times for our students. You can come help for just one grade, a few grades, or all day!

 

2nd Grade

8:15am – 9:05am

Kindergarten

9:15am – 10:05am

4th Grade

10:15am – 11:05pm

3rd Grade

11:20pm – 12:10pm

1st Grade

12:20pm – 1:10pm

5th Grade

1:20pm – 2:10pm

Spectators are also welcome at the Race for Education! 
Please register all spectators on our PTO website by May 6th. Spectators need to have their IDs ready on the day of the event. No pets permitted. Oak Hill students and volunteer runners only are permitted on the running track. Younger siblings may not run on the track.

Race For Education: Friday, May 15th

On Friday, May 15, 2026, Oak Hill Elementary School will be participating in the Race for Education! We invite family and friends to join us in helping to raise funds to enrich the lives of Oak Hill students with essential educational items and experiences! 

Each participant can raise funds by asking sponsors to contribute a tax-deductible donation to the PTO. Fundraising for the Race is now live! Friends and family can donate to individual students by heading to that student's fundraising page. To find and customize your student's personalized fundraising page, head to the "My Order & Volunteer Forms" tab > Fundraising Campaigns.

PTO Executive Board Elections

It's that time of year again - elections for PTO Executive Board.

PTO remains in dire need of a 1st VP of Fundraising to ensure that we are raising funds for the school so that the PTO can continue to provide support for the students, teachers, and staff of Oak Hill.

  1. The 1st Vice President shall act as an aide to the President and perform the duties of the President in the absence or inability of that officer to serve. He/She will be responsible for all revenue-producing committees and will serve as the liaison between the Executive Board and the respective committee co-chairs. The 1st Vice President will be primary co-signer with the Treasurer on PTO checks.

The Board also has three positions which are up for election this year:   1st VP - Student Enrichment (Lindsey Graves is re-running), Secretary (Becky Trevillian is re-running), and Treasurer (Quinton Nabors is re-running).  If anyone is interested in throwing their name in for either of these positions, please also reach out to Lynn (oakhillptopresident@gmail.com).   

 

Yearbook Thank Yous!!

Yearbook sales concluded on April 26. These will be distributed in school and will go home with your student during the last week of school.

End Of Year Gifts

End-of-year gift information will be shared later this month.

5th Grade Promotion Details!

The 5th Grade Promotion Ceremony will be held June 16th at 8:30am.  Each student is allotted 4 tickets for guests and seating is arranged based on random lottery. Submit guests for tickets and requests for extra tickets DUE BY MAY 20th! Please refer to emails sent out with details, or visit the 5th grade promotion website: 5th Grade Promotion Website 

 
POOL PARTY: There is a pool party for your 5th grade students (no siblings here, sorry!) that Chartridge Community Pool on June 16th from 7pm-9pm. This is optional, and free! This is such a fun time for the students, and entrance includes a Photo Booth, snowball from Kona Ice and music. Drinks and snacks are also provided. Parents must sign their student in and out of the pool party. Register for Pool Party Please be on the lookout for chaperone sign up; we need lots of adults to help keep our kids safe!
PROMOTION DAY EARLY DISMISSAL: On promotion day, you have the option to register to take your student home (and their Oak Hill sibling(s)) for an early dismissal after the ceremony has concluded. Please please please fill this out in advance if you plan to take your student home early that day. Early Dismissal Form

Artists Needed for OHES PTO Magnet 2026-2027

Do you have a creative student who may want to participate in our magnet design contest? Here's how to enter:

  • Simply click here to be taken to the Contest Form.
  • Download and Print template of the design.
  • Have your student decorate the template however they choose.
  • Scan or take crisp, clear photo of the finished masterpiece.
  • Upload the final submission in the same form you downloaded the template from.
  • Each student can submit ONE design so make it count!
  • All Oak Hill students K - 5 are welcome to participate.

Based on the number of submissions, the board will choose a number of finalists for the Oak Hill Community to vote on. Submissions are due by May 31, 2026. The winner will be the new design for the annual PTO magnet given to members in the 2026- 2027 school year.

Remember to renew or sign-up for an Oak Hill PTO membership every August to receive one of these amazing Oak Hill keepsakes. All members who sign up before the early bird deadline in September receive a FREE Oak Hill magnet each year and your money goes to supporting our wonderful school and staff.

Artsonia is the world's largest collection of student art, published by teachers and students from around the world. Parents and family can view the art online, leave comments and order keepsakes featuring the artwork. Proceeds contribute to purchasing art supplies for OHES art classes. Register on the Artsonia website here, so that you receive important notifications, such as when new artwork is posted to your child's gallery.

THE NEXT GENERATION OF BOX TOPS IS HERE.

Continue cutting and saving your Box Tops. There are still some out there!  Next deadline is in October. Please place Box Tops in a Ziploc bag labeled with your child's name and homeroom, then send them into school. We are receiving several baggies without teacher's name. Teachers will not receive credit for baggies without teacher names.

Box Tops is changing to fit today's families. The new and improved Box Tops mobile app uses state-of-the-art technology to scan your store receipt, find participating products and instantly add Box Tops to your school's earnings online.

 

A NEW WAY TO TRACK BOX TOPS PARTICIPATION!

Now when you use the Box Tops app to scan your store receipt, you can "Give Credit" to your child's classroom. To "Give Credit" make sure you have the latest version of the Box Tops app, scan your receipt, then tap the star icon to enter your "Give credit" memo.
