OAK HILL UPDATES
Staff Appreciation

The PTO planned and provided a catered lunch to kick of the start of the year for our staff. In addition to our Manic-Less Monday program, the PTO caters 3 large scale luncheons each year to show our staff how much we appreciate them! They look forward to another delicious meal in just a few weeks as part of their holiday gift.

Staff Gifts

Speaking of holiday gifts, we learned that our staff also wanted some new Oak Hill swag. We worked closely with school administration to design a fun Maryland inspired Oak Hill crab t-shirt to sport down the hallways! Each staff member will be provided a new OHES swag t-shirt paid for by our PTO as part of their holiday gift.

Silent Auction Chairs Needed ** If no chairs, this event will be cancelled***

Silent & Live Auction - This event has been a staple for Oak Hill for the last several years, and is a source of funds for the PTO to assist in providing support for the students, teachers, and staff.  Two co-chairs are needed to set up this event.

If anyone is interested, please contact Lynn or Kayla for additional information.

Harvest for the Hungry: Oct. 1-31st

The 38th annual Harvest for the Hungry drive to benefit the Anne Arundel County Food Bank is now underway. For the last 2 years, our school has been a top donating school;. we hope to continue this streak! We have put together a list (Click Here for List) with suggested items to bring in each day throughout the month. All non-perishable, non-expired foods are welcome! Please keep in mind that glass containers often break so please select plastic instead.

We will be collecting food from October 1 - 31st.

To celebrate the event, we will be having a Spirit Week from Monday, October 20th to Friday, October 24th.

  • Monday- Mix It Up! | Wear your wackiest, tackiest outfit and bring 2 mismatched foods.
  • Tuesday- TWOs day |  Bring 2 items and wear something to show a place you’d love to travel TO!
  • Wednesday- Wake-Up! | Wear PJs to school and donate non-perishable breakfast items.
  • Thursday- Colorful Crew! | Wear as many colors as you can and donate canned fruit.
  • Friday- Souper Bowl Friday! | Wear your favorite sports team jersey or favorite color and donate soup.

Please consider donating small to medium-sized boxes to the school to hold the items collected. Boxes can be dropped off at the main office.

For more information or to help coordinate, please contact Harvest for the Hungry Food and Fund Drive PTO Coordinator, Leah Paley at leahpaley2012@gmail.com

Talent Show - ****If we have no chair by December 1, 2025 this event will be cancelled***

We have NO CHAIRPERSON for our annual Talent Show held in February.

If we have no chair by December 1, 2025 this event will be cancelled because of the amount of planning that must be done by the committee but also the performers need ample time to prepare.

This is a SUPER FUN event, we promise the work you put in will be worth it!

We already have a working project plan, it just needs to be implemented, you will not be starting from scratch! One of the chairs from last year is on board to help but this is a 2-person event that does require quite a bit of planning.

If you're interested in co-chairing this event either yourself or as a team, please reach out to:
