Message from the Presidents Happy Back to School (in August)!
Welcome back to school! We hope everyone had an enjoyable summer, and is ready for a school year full of fun and learning!! A few changes to staffing at Oak Hill this year: Mrs. Dana Henstrand and Mrs. Theresa Ellenberger are no longer with our staff - while they will be missed by our school, they are enjoying their well-earned retirement. Mrs. Michelle Mastandrea will be teaching 2nd grade this year. Many new additions to the staff this year: Jill Puffenbarger - Special Education Krista Sweeney - Part-time IEP Clerk Megan Cormier- Full-time Art Teacher Patrick Hines - Part-time PE Teacher Danielle Miller - Part-time Triple E Teacher Campbell Haney - Temporary Support Assistant Welcome everyone!!!!
This year we are looking forward to lots of fun events, including our Halloween Themed School Dance in October and a new 5K event in the fall. If you'd like to volunteer, please do so through Membership Toolkit or emailing thx4volunteering@gmail.com.
Our Oak Hill PTO website, hosted by Membership Toolkit, serves as the main platform for communicating with Oak Hill families, organizing volunteer activities, and managing events. With Membership Toolkit, we can register volunteers, assign them to events, and communicate via email. We STRONGLY encourage EVERYONE to register on our website, regardless of whether you plan to volunteer, to stay fully informed. This is the only way for room parents to locate contact information for your child's classmates. You don’t need to be a PTO member to join through Membership Toolkit, though we hope you will consider joining. The site will keep you updated on what’s happening at our school. To stay informed, make sure to update your contact information, email address, and your child’s class details at www.OakHillESPTO.org (http://www.OakHillESPTO.org) by clicking on “My Account.” Please be assured that this information will only be used for PTO-related purposes. Lynn LaRocca and Anna Builta, PTO Co-Presidents

| Fundraising Committee Chairs Needed Parent involvement in Oak Hill is what provides funds for the PTO to contiue providing events and supplies for student, teachers, and staff. Please consider becoming a chair of one of the following committees: FUNDRAISING COMMITTEES Artsonia - Lead works with the art department to photograph and upload students' art to the Artsonia website for parents to purchase items. Oak Hill receives funds from this committee. Parents' Night Out - The PTO has decided to replace the Silent/Live Auction with a new event - Parents' Night Out. We need two co-chairs for the event, and its a blank slate for creativity while being less labor-intensive for the chairs/committees. Fall 5K - Another new fundraising event this year - Fall 5K - raising money and being healthy. More information can be found later in this newsletter. Pickleball Tournament - Another new fundraising event which needs chairs/committes, but again less labor-intensive for anyone who wants to volunteer. Third-Party Fundraisers (Skate night, spirit wear, restaurants, etc.) - Chair would determine what third-party fundraisers are done throughout the year, as well as identify leads for each specific fundraiser. If you would like additional information or have any question regarding the above committees, please reach out to 1st Vice-President of Fundraising, Leah Paley - leahpaley2012@gmail.com.

| Talent Show (Variety Show) We are currently looking for a ONE CO-CHAIR for the annual Stars of Oak Hill Variety Show held in February. This is a huge event every year, over 100 students participate in creative acts, our school dance team shows off their skills, even our staff performs, and together they put on one fantastic show! Not only does it sell out each year, but it also raises quite a bit of money for our school. We currently have no chairs for this event, and if we do not fill both positions by December 1, the show will be cancelled. Please don't let the students be disappointed Please reach out to OHES2ndVicePresident@gmail.com |

| 5K CHAIR NEEDED ASAP Love a good challenge (and a good cause)? Oak Hill Elementary School is exploring a 5K Family Fun Run/Walk for this fall, and we need an organized, energetic parent or guardian to lead the charge as Event Chair.
No prior race-directing experience required — just strong organizational skills, a knack for rallying volunteers, and a few hours a week from late summer through race day. You'll build your own team of subcommittee leads to handle registration, sponsors, route logistics, and day-of details, so you won't be doing it alone.
It's a fun, high-visibility way to make a big impact on our school community and a great addition to your volunteer resume! Interested or have questions? Reach out to Leah Paley at leahpaley2012@gmail.com to learn more.
